The young dream couple from the world of bel canto: Olga Peretyatko from St. Petersburg, conquering opera stages with her coloratura soprano – and at her side star Afro-American tenor Lawrence Brownlee. Together they perform some of the great operatic arias, from Vincenzo Bellini's Norma to Georges Bizet's The Pearl Fishers and Gaetano Donizetti's La fille du régiment. Young Italian conductor Speranza Scappucci makes her début in Basel at this concert.
